The first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. Corbett national park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. In 1955-56 it has changed to Ramganga National Park and finally Jim Corbett
National Park in the honor of legendary hunter-turned- conservationist, best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in the Kumaon and lower Garhwal in the 1920s.
Corbett National park is known for its varied wildlife, and as the site for the launching of Project Tiger. Corbett National Park was one of the nine tiger reserves created at the launch of the Project Tiger in 1973. The original area of the Corbett National Park was 323.75 sq. km. to which 197.07 sq. km. was added later. In 1991, an area of 797.72 sq km was added as buffer area of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. It area includes kalagarh forest division and Ramnagar forest division.
The Main animals found in the national park wildlife found in the Corbett National Park include the tiger, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, and nearly 600 species of birds. Corbett National Park receives thousands of visitors every year. A variety of facilities are available to house tourists within and outside the park.

| Day 1 : Delhi - Corbett National Park
|
|
Drive from Delhi-Corbet National Park (275-kms / 6 hr.) early in the morning. Arrival at the camp site by noon. After having lunch, drive onward for Dhangarhi gate for entry to Dhikala Tourism zone. Take a visit to the Interpretation Centre. Enjoy a Jeep safari through the dense jungles of Jim Corbet Park.
The Safari trip also take you to the lower jungle track along the Ramganga river, accompanied by an expert guide. Cross the river at Gethia Rao bridge for the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda man-eater. Arrive at the main tourist complex, Dhikala to check in. Relax a while or indulge in some wildlife photography. Dinner and overnight stay.

| Day 02 : Corbet National Park

|
Take up a early morning Elephant safari through the open Chaurs (grasslands) and dense forests by an unconventional route. Elephant safari is the best option for wildlife viewing in the Corbet National Park. Return back to the complex for breakfast and then again drive by jeep to the scenic lake area to catch the sight of Marsh crocodile basking in the sun. Visit the Jhirnajhali area for viewing the famous Gharial - the fish eating crocodile.
Return for lunch and some rest or opt for spending the afternoon on a watchtower overlooking a water hole. Jeep safari on a track along the periphery of the core area. Take this exciting drive through the unforgettable and breathtaking Khinanauli range to catch some best wildlife sights and Tigers in Jim Corbet Park. Return to the to tourist complex in the evening. Watch film shows on wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay.

| Day 03 : Corbet National Park
|

|
Drive back to the campsite after breakfast. Have lunch after arriving at the camp. Take an afternoon jeep safari to Bijrani for tiger tracking. Overnight stay in the resort.

| Day 04 - Corbett National Park- Delhi |
|
Drive towards Bhuvankhal early in the morning to witness the beautiful sunrise and the snow clad peaks of the central Himalayas. Return back to the campsite for lunch.
Return to Delhi. |
